Our Policy

The Vehicle Health App is designed to connect your vehicle to a repair shop of your choice and share the data obtained from your vehicles OBD (On Board Dianostic) port along with your vehicles repair history.  We describe the information we collect and how it’s used and shared. By “we” or “us”, we mean our company, JetCom, and by “you” we refer to the users of our services. We take seriously our responsibility to protect the privacy of your information in accordance with this policy.

What information does the Vehicle Health App collect? Our services provide information on the mechanical operation of your vehicle(s) to ensure reliability and improve vehicle performance. Our services (“Services”) are enabled by a hardware device which plugs into your vehicle (the “Bluetooth OBD Device”, BT Device), a smartphone app (“App”), a repair facility(ies) and our website. Using the Hardware, the App, and our website, that you provide, we collect the following types of data (“Personal Data”): Information from your vehicle’s onboard computer; Information about your vehicle’s operation, vehicle location information, personally identifiable information, and Information collected when you visit our website.  If you provide us with Personal Data from a location outside the United States, please be aware that the data is transferred from your location to the United States, where we and our web servers and data storage servers are located.  To enable our Services, we collect and store information about the vehicle into which you plug the BT Device. When available, we request your vehicle identification number so that we can search our data base for the vehicle's maintenance and repair history.

Vehicle location information - The smart phone App collects information on the location of your vehicle while you are driving. The App uses your smartphone’s location services (GPS, WiFi, cell tower triangulation) to record its location as you drive.  This information is helpful to repair facilities in diagnosing issues with your vehicle.

Personally Identifiable Information - Examples of personally identifiable information that we collect include your name, phone number(s), email address and physical address. If your vehicles reports a trouble code that is an indication of serious issue or your repair facility notices a concern in the data from your vehicle, they are able to contact you and discuss resolving the problem with your vehicle.

On our website, we may use a technology called “cookies” provided by us or a third-party. A cookie is a piece of information that the computer that hosts our site gives to your browser when you access our site.
Who has access to the information the Vehicle Health App collects? -  Personnel that support the Vehicle Health App and your selected automotive repair professional use the collected information so that they can diagnose and evaluate the performance of your vehicle.  Except as provided below, we do not share your Personal Data with third parties without your explicit permission:
Third parties performing business-related functions. We may share your data in an aggregated form with other companies to perform certain business-related functions, vehicle reliability issues. In these cases, we only provide the companies with the information they need to perform their specific function.

Legal Process:  It is possible that we may need to disclose personal data when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.

By using our service, you provide us with permission to share your information with the parties described above.

Vehicle Sharing:
 The App allows you to share information regarding your vehicle with people you choose. For example, if you choose, you can share your car’s parked location with the people with whom you share the car.

Partners:
We want you to get the most value out of your automatic experience and may present offers from trusted partners to provide a solution that we think would make your car ownership or driving experience better. For example, JetCom may partner with a tire manufacturer that is willing to extend your tire warranty if you choose to share your data related to tire wear. These opportunities will always be user “opt-in” only.

We are committed to handling your personal information with respect and care. However, regardless of the security precautions taken, no physical, Internet or other electronic transmission or storage of data can be fully secure or error free. You should understand this condition when choosing to use any product or service that includes the physical or electronic storage or transmission of your data.
